Under Armour Curry 3 Preview
Stephen Curry and Under Armour hope to continue their successful partnership with the upcoming Curry 3. The Warriors and Curry had one of the most impressive seasons in NBA history, and the Curry 2 will always be tied to this season in the sneaker world. Can Under Armour build off of that success and hit another home run with the Curry 3? The Warriors and Curry look to be the favorites to win it all next year after signing Kevin Durant, so Curry will most likely continue to be sensational and at the top of the league. Images of the Curry 3 and Curry testing them during practice leaked a while ago, but today Sneakernews.com dropped a detailed preview with up close pictures and information to give us a taste of what the Curry 3 will be like. According to the article, the Curry 3’s upper will be a fuse and mesh construction and will feature a carbon fiber shank in the heel area for added support. Curry’s slogan/Bible quotation “I Can Do All Things” will be inscribed on the heel and his SC30 logo will be blown up on the heel as well. From what I can see, I would assume that the midsole will be Charged foam, but the Charged logo is not visible in these images so I am not 100% on that. The images also show off the outsole, which features a nice looking multidirectional pattern with thick grooves, a small pivot point, and what appears to be a carbon fiber mid foot plate for support and response similar to Jordan’s Flightspeed. Overall the Curry 3 looks like it will be a good performer, but we have to wait until we get our hands on it to find out, but man that thing is ugly.
