adidas Crazy Explosive Low Leak
The summer of adidas continues as Sneakernews featured images of a low top version of a Sole Brothers’ favorite, the Crazy Explosive Low. Many, including Don and Sammy, thought that the Crazy Explosive was an excellent performer but it was ugly. I thought the mid/high Crazy Explosive was pretty dope looking in a unique way, but I don’t think anyone in their right mind will think that the Crazy Explosive Low is ugly. They took the styling, lacing system, and Boost goodness and made it a low top with a shape similar to that of the Nike KD9. The tech looks like it is slightly different as well. The upper does not appear to be constructed out of Primeknit, but the since the images are not super high quality or close up it is hard to tell for sure. If I had to guess from the images we have, I would guess that the upper is going to feature either a jacquard textile or adidas’ new ForgedMesh featured on the AlphaBounce. The unique lacing system remains the same, but a few of the eyelets lock in with some sort of synthetic overlay that wraps around the perimeter of the upper for added support and durability. This arrangement is pretty clever since the synthetic overlay will provide more support and the laces weaving through it at points will help provide even more lockdown and support during hard cuts. The colorway featured in the images below feature a purple upper and an ice blue translucent outsole which looks amazing! The outsole seems to feature the same traction pattern (which would make much more sense than if it featured a new pattern), but images below do not feature the outsole prominently and very little of the traction pattern is visible. I would imagine that these will retail around $125 on the low end, $140 on the high end, and most likely will drop for $130. The adidas Crazy Explosive Low is rumored to have a late winter release date, but that is admittedly speculative.
